Detroit-born Carl Craig is one of the defining figures of the second wave of Detroit techno. A Grammy-nominated producer, label founder and civic leader, he launched Planet E Communications in 1991 and has recorded under aliases including Paperclip People, Innerzone Orchestra and 69. His 1994 track "Throw" and a string of landmark albums cemented his status as one of electronic music's true visionaries. He also co-founded the Detroit Electronic Music Festival and his Detroit Love touring concept has brought the Motor City sound to clubs worldwide, including Ibiza.

Kenny Dixon Jr. — known as Moodymann — is one of the most enigmatic and important figures in house music. Detroit-born and bred, his sound blends soul, funk, jazz, blues and house into something entirely his own. Owner of Mahogani Music and KDJ Records, he released his debut album Silentintroduction on Carl Craig's Planet E in 1997 and has been a defining voice in the underground ever since. Famous for performing with his face hidden, his unpredictable and deeply personal sets are among the most treasured experiences in dance music.
